André Schulz is an Associate Professor and Head of CLIPSLAB at the University of Luxembourg, affiliated with the Department of Behavioral and Cognitive Sciences within the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences. He leads the Research Group 'Brain-Body Interaction' and oversees the Clinical Psychophysiology Laboratory (CLIPSLAB). His roles include academic leadership and laboratory administration.
Education: PhD in Psychobiology (Summa cum laude, 2009) from University of Trier, followed by a 2014 habilitation ('authorization à diriger des recherches'). Prior to his current position, he held roles including Assistant Professor (2020–2022) and Research Scientist (2014–2019) at the University of Luxembourg.
Research focuses on clinical psychophysiology, stress neurobiology, and brain-body interactions, particularly through methodologies like startle eye blink modulation. He has expertise in self-regulation and health, integrating physiological and psychological approaches.
Awards: DFG Stipend (2007–2008) and Summa cum Laude PhD distinction. Professional training includes 150+ hours in coaching (2009–2010).
Labs/Teams: CLIPSLAB and associated research groups. Advising: Supervision of PhD students via his habilitation privileges (since 2017).
