Anca ENE

Anca ENE serves as an Assistant Professor at the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest (UTCB) within the Department of Topography and Cadastre, Faculty of Geodesy. She concurrently pursues doctoral studies in Geodetic Engineering at UTCB since 2023, developing her thesis "Research on the acquisition, integration and modeling of urban data." She actively contributes to the Research Center for Engineering Geodetic Measurements and Spatial Data Infrastructures (MGIIDS) and represents UTCB as a delegate member of Commission 8 (Spatial Planning and Development) for the International Federation of Surveyors.

Ene's research integrates geospatial technologies with urban development challenges. Her expertise spans GIS interoperability, cadastre systems, and 3D urban modeling using standards like CityGML and INSPIRE. Current projects analyze "15-minute city" accessibility through spatial analytics, develop real-time urban Digital Twins by fusing BIM, IoT, and geospatial data, and investigate climate adaptation strategies through green space regeneration. Her work bridges architectural engineering with geodetic measurement techniques to enhance sustainable urban planning decision-making.

She disseminates findings through a BDI-indexed article, a SCOPUS/Web of Science conference paper, and educational materials including a co-authored teaching guide. Her research methodology emphasizes practical applications through the MGIIDS center, where she tests workflows for geospatial data integration in territorial management contexts.

As a member of FIG Commission 8, Ene contributes to international spatial planning frameworks while advancing UTCB's research profile through conference participation and symposium engagements. Her dual role as educator and researcher focuses on training future geospatial specialists in GIS, topography, and sustainable development applications.
