Anastassiya Petrova

Anastassiya Petrova is a jazz pianist and organist serving as a Lecturer in the Piano and Keyboard department at Berklee College of Music. She holds a Bachelor's in Professional Music and Performance and a Master’s in Global Jazz from Berklee, where she studied at the Berklee Global Jazz Institute. Her performance career includes collaborations with renowned artists such as Terri Lyne Carrington and John Patitucci, and appearances at major festivals like Umbria Jazz Festival (Italy), Monterey Jazz Festival (USA), and Panama Jazz Festival.

As an educator, she instructs online courses including Keyboard for the Electronic Musician. Her accolades include the 2019 DownBeat Award, 2021 International Jazz Bridge Competition Grand-Prix, and the prestigious 2022 New Jazz Legacy Grant, which supported collaboration with Chris Potter and Kris Davis. She is currently recording her debut album and serves as principal pianist/organist for Champion: An Opera in Jazz with the Boston Lyric Opera.
