Anastasia Ulanowicz is Associate Professor of English at the University of Florida, specializing in children's literature, graphic narratives, and memory studies. Her work examines representations of trauma, diaspora, and intergenerational memory in texts ranging from YA fiction to Ukrainian literature.

She received the Children’s Literature Association Book Award for Second-Generation Memory and Contemporary Children’s Literature: Ghost Images (2013) and Fulbright grants for work in Poland. Current projects include a monograph on Eastern Europe in Western comics. She teaches trauma theory, Bible as literature, and comics studies, and serves as editor of ImageTexT and co-editor of The Lion and the Unicorn.
