Anastasia J. Gage, PhD, is a Professor at Tulane University's Weatherhead School of Public Health (WSPH), Department of International Health and Sustainable Development. She specializes in adolescent health, maternal health, and gender-based violence research across sub-Saharan Africa and Haiti. Her professional roles include serving on the Scientific Advisory Group of icddr,b (Bangladesh), the Scientific Advisory Council of INED (France), and the UN High-level Advisory Board on Economic and Social Affairs.
- Education: PhD/MA (University of Pennsylvania), MP (University of Ghana), BA (Fourah Bay College, Sierra Leone)
- Key Expertise: Program evaluation for HIV/AIDS, maternal/child health, and adolescent health policies
Dr. Gage has led USAID-funded projects including MEASURE Evaluation and APHIA II in multiple African countries. Her 25+ years of field experience include work in DRC, Ghana, Ethiopia, Niger, Uganda, Zambia, Haiti, and Jamaica. She teaches courses on public health monitoring/evaluation and adolescent health policies.
