Anand Acharya is an Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Economics at Carleton University, affiliated with the Faculty of Public and Global Affairs. He holds degrees from Royal Military College (B.A.), Carleton University (M.A.), and a Ph.D. from Carleton University.
His research focuses on health economics and microeconometrics, with expertise in survival analysis and economic evaluations of health interventions. His work addresses critical issues such as pediatric critical care outcomes, clinical trial methodologies, and cancer pain management.
Recent publications explore topics including geographic disparities in pediatric healthcare outcomes, consent models in pediatric septic shock trials, and cancer pain clinical characteristics. His interdisciplinary approach bridges economic analysis with clinical research outcomes.
