Prof. Arturo Anadón is a Full Professor of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Complutense University of Madrid's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. He holds concurrent roles as Guest Professor at Huazhong Agricultural University (China) and directs the Research Group on Toxicology and Safety of Chemical Agents. His career spans over four decades, including leadership positions as Department Head, Research Centre Director, and international committee memberships across EFSA, WHO, and EMEA.
Education: DVM and PhD from Complutense University, Master in Basic Pharmacology, European Specialist in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology (EBVS), and European Registered Toxicologist (ERT). Completed fellowships at Harvard University and the Medical Research Council (UK).
Research focuses on molecular toxicity mechanisms of drugs/pesticides, pharmacokinetics, oxidative stress pathways, and food/environmental safety evaluations. He has authored 200+ peer-reviewed articles, 140 book chapters, and contributed to 350+ congress presentations.
