Paul Dargan

Paul Dargan is Professor of Clinical Toxicology at King's College London and a Consultant Physician and Clinical Toxicologist at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. He serves as the Caldicott Guardian at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust.

• Focus on recreational drug toxicity, new psychoactive substances (NPS), self-poisoning, and heavy metal toxicity

Research Trends: His work spans clinical toxicology, pharmacology, and public health, with emphasis on drug toxicity mechanisms, detection technologies, and global health impacts of NPS and heavy metals.

Advisory Roles: Expert adviser to the US FDA, UNODC, and WHO. Chairs the Scientific Committee of EAPCCT and contributes to the EMCDDA Scientific Committee.
