Ana Paula Fonseca

Dr Ana Paula Fonseca is a Lecturer in Strategy and Sustainability at Edinburgh Napier University's Business School. She serves as Programme Lead for MBA Strategic Project Management and MBA Engineering Management, while also leading the Employability Skills Programme (ESP) for SCQF levels 7-8. Her research focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainability, business ethics, and systems thinking, with practical applications in family businesses and smallholder farming.

She co-investigated two UK Government-funded projects: (1) Empowering SMEs to adopt Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) post-Covid Scotland, and (2) Upskilling housing/construction firms for net-zero transition. Affiliations include Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (Young Professionals Chair), AMED Networks, ISBE, and BAM.

Scientific awards include Fellow of Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and recognition under the UK Professional Standards Framework. Her work integrates action research with organizations and communities to address sustainability challenges.
