Ana María Brokate Llanos

Ana María Brokate Llanos is an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemical Engineering at Pablo de Olavide University. She is affiliated with the Andalusian Center for Developmental Biology (CABD) and leads the LongCele research group focused on the genetics of longevity in *Caenorhabditis elegans*. Previously, she was part of the CDCGEN research group, which investigates genetics of cell division control.

• Education: PhD in Biotechnology and Biomedicine from Pablo de Olavide University (2011) with a thesis on the role of the *gale-1* gene in development and longevity in *C. elegans*.

Research Interests: Her work centers on genetic and metabolic interactions between organisms, particularly how microbial metabolism influences aging. She also engages with interdisciplinary areas such as neuroscience, plant biotechnology, and cultural theory.
