Andrés Garzón Villar

Andrés Garzón Villar is a Professor at the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemical Engineering, Pablo de Olavide University. He is affiliated with the Andalusian Center for Developmental Biology (CABD) and leads the CDCGEN research group focused on the Genetics of Cell Division Control. His research spans Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Biotechnology.

He earned his Doctorate from the University of Seville in 1994, completing a thesis on extrachromosomal rearrangements mediated by RECB, RECJ, and ERF in Salmonella typhimurium under the supervision of Dr. Josep Casadesús Pursals. He contributes to doctoral programs in Biotechnology, Biomedicine, and Health Sciences.
