Dr. Ana Hanlon-Dearman is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health at the Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba. She serves as Section Head of Developmental Pediatrics and holds a cross-appointment in Community Health Sciences. As a Research Scientist at the Children's Hospital Research Institute of Manitoba (CHRIM), her work focuses on neurodevelopmental disorders, including Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and sleep disorders in neurodevelopmental conditions. She co-leads faculty development in pediatrics and is involved in national initiatives such as CanFASD and the CHILDBRIGHT project.

Research Interests: Dr. Hanlon-Dearman’s research examines the intersection of neurodevelopmental variation and population health, leveraging population-based data to inform clinical management and policy. Her work addresses systemic risk factors for FASD, health outcomes of children with FASD/ASD, and sleep interventions in neurodevelopmental disorders. She leads training programs for multidisciplinary FASD diagnosis and management globally.
