Anaís Roque

Anaís Roque is the John Hope Franklin Assistant Professor of Environmental Justice at Duke University's Nicholas School of the Environment. Her work focuses on resource insecurity, health outcomes, and community resilience in the context of environmental hazards and disasters. She employs mixed-methods approaches including photovoice, participatory mapping, and social network analysis.

Her research spans Puerto Rico, the U.S./Mexico Borderlands, and Phoenix, emphasizing intersections between climate equity, social vulnerability, and community-based collaboration. She contributes to transdisciplinary teams addressing environmental justice and modular water systems.
