Amyn Malik

Amyn Malik is an infectious disease epidemiologist at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (UTSW). He holds a medical degree from Aga Khan University (Pakistan), an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and a PhD in Epidemiology from Emory University, with postdoctoral training at Yale Institute for Global Health. His research focuses on tuberculosis (TB), child health, and emerging infectious diseases like COVID-19, emphasizing global health equity and preventive strategies.

Key areas of expertise include drug-resistant TB prevention, contact tracing, and vaccination policy. He has contributed to large-scale programs funded by NIH, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and the Global Fund.
