Amy Salazar

Amy Salazar is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Development at Washington State University (WSU), part of the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences. She holds a PhD in Social Work and Social Research (Portland State University, 2011), an MSW (2010), and a BS in Psychology (University of Miami, 2004). Her research focuses on child welfare systems, postsecondary success for foster youth, LGBTQ+ youth well-being, and program evaluation. She has led over 10 major grants, including the Better Futures trial and Fostering Higher Education initiatives.
