Amy Pollard is Professor of Bassoon and Associate Director for Performance at University of Georgia's Hugh Hodgson School of Music. She performs as principal bassoonist with Atlanta Ballet Orchestra and second bassoonist with Cincinnati Chamber Orchestra.
Her research encompasses orchestral performance practice, chamber music collaboration, and bassoon pedagogy. Recordings include Ruminations: Bassoon Works of Eugène Bozza and the Georgia Woodwind Quintet's Chroma.
Teaches at Sewanee Summer Music Festival and previously at Interlochen Arts Center. Serves on Meg Quigley Vivaldi Competition Committee. Holds DMA and MM from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, BM from Louisiana State University.
