Dr Amy Murray is an Honorary Research Associate at Swansea University's Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science, affiliated with the Centre for Ageing and Dementia Research (CADR) and the Centre for Innovative Ageing (CIA). She holds a PhD in Gerontology & Ageing Studies (2019), focusing on driving cessation in later life and its psychosocial impacts. Her research spans aging environments, mobility, and informal support networks. She also collaborates with Urban Foundry on projects like the Neath Port Talbot Council's 'Lost Peatlands' initiative, securing a Heritage Lottery Fund grant. Teaching interests include social gerontology, social policy, and qualitative methods. She has volunteered with dementia patients and organizations like the Royal Voluntary Service.
Education: BSc Social Policy & Criminology (Swansea University), MSc Gerontology & Ageing Studies (Swansea University). Public engagement includes ESRC events and community outreach.
