Amy Lischko is a Professor of the Practice in the School of Arts and Sciences and an Associate Professor in the School of Medicine at Tufts University. She holds a Doctor of Science from Boston University (2008), a MS in Public Health (1988), and a Bachelor of Science (1982) from the University of Massachusetts.

A former Commissioner of the Division of Health Care Finance and Policy in Massachusetts, Lischko was pivotal in designing universal health insurance coverage reforms under Governor Mitt Romney. Her research focuses on state health policy, consumer engagement in health care, Medicaid policy, and policy synthesis. She explores strategies to improve health care affordability, transparency of provider costs, and evidence accessibility for policymakers.
Her 15 most recent publications emphasize health care cost containment, consumer decision-making, and policy evaluation. Key areas include tobacco control policies, SHOP marketplaces, and fraud prevention in Medicare.
