Amy Lannin

Amy Lannin is an Associate Professor of English Education in the College of Education at the University of Missouri, where she also directs the Campus Writing Program. She is actively engaged in advancing writing instruction and literacy education across teacher development programs.

Her research centers on how professional development impacts teacher practice and student achievement, particularly in K–12 writing instruction. She has led significant initiatives through her role with the National Writing Project, currently directing the Missouri Writing Project and overseeing the Missouri Writing Projects Network, a state-wide consortium of five NWP sites dedicated to improving writing instruction through teacher-led professional development.

Amy Lannin teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on the teaching of writing, literature, and media, and she advises doctoral students in the College of Education. Her leadership extends to curriculum development and faculty support through the Campus Writing Program, where she fosters interdisciplinary collaboration to enhance writing across the university curriculum.
