Amy J. Clara

Amy J. Clara, Psy.D., is a licensed clinical health psychologist at Massachusetts General Hospital's Cancer Center and an Adjunct Associate Professor in Genetic Counseling at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She has been delivering guest lectures since 2018 on mental health topics such as diabetes, peripartum health, behavioral medicine, cardiovascular care, and oncology.

Her expertise focuses on integrating psychological care within genetic counseling frameworks, particularly addressing mental health challenges in chronic disease management. She teaches advanced counseling techniques to genetic counseling students and contributes to the MGH IHP community through education and professional development initiatives.

Dr. Clara is currently developing a multidisciplinary collaborative care group in the MGH Cancer Center and a therapeutic group for sexual wellness during cancer care, emphasizing holistic patient support.
