Amy Graham is an Associate Professor of Practice and Graduate College Faculty Fellow at the University of Arizona's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. She specializes in Chemistry Education, focusing on training Learning Assistants and Teaching Assistants, and teaches large General Chemistry courses in Collaborative Learning Spaces (CLSs). Her work emphasizes inclusive teaching practices and mental health awareness in academic environments.
Education: Ph.D. in Chemistry (Analytical Chemistry specialty, University of Arizona, 2000-2010) and B.A. in Chemistry with a Philosophy minor from the College of Wooster (1996-2000).
Research interests include improving pedagogical methods in STEM education, particularly in large-classroom settings. She leads Faculty Learning Communities (FLCs) to share evidence-based teaching practices and has developed training courses for LAs and GTAs. Her podcast, PEPTalks: Productive Educational Practices, features interviews with educators discussing innovative teaching strategies.
Labs/Teams: Active in the Learning Assistant Program and Graduate Teaching Assistant Training initiatives at the University of Arizona.
