Dr. Amrit Daffu-O'Reilly is a Research Fellow at the University of Leeds' School of Healthcare, affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine and Health. They lead the Yorkshire arm of the NIHR-funded Care Homes Independent Pharmacist Prescribing Study (CHIPPS), focusing on improving medicines management and quality of life for care home residents. Responsibilities include site recruitment, data collection, qualitative interviews, and analysis.

Research Interests: Behavior change for disease prevention, reducing health inequalities (especially among British South Asians), coronary heart disease and diabetes prevention, medicines safety, and health literacy. Their work integrates qualitative and quantitative methods, with prior experience in patient safety, chronic cancer care, and older adult health.
Funding & Collaboration: CHIPPS is a 5-year NIHR-funded multi-centre study. Dr. Daffu-O'Reilly’s role includes trial coordination and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Labs/Teams: Member of the Medicines Optimisation research group. Previously worked at the Bradford Institute for Health Research.
