Amos Golan is a Professor of Economics at American University and serves as Director of the Info-Metrics Institute. He is also an External Professor at the Santa Fe Institute and a Senior Associate at Pembroke College, Oxford. His work bridges economics, statistics, and complexity science through the lens of info-metrics, focusing on modeling under uncertainty.

Golan's research spans econometrics, statistical physics, and information theory. He has published extensively across economics, mathematics, and philosophy journals, and authored the 2018 book Foundations of Info-Metrics: Modeling, Inference, and Imperfect Information (OUP). His methodological contributions include advancing maximum entropy approaches for modeling with imperfect data.
