Amos Bertolacci

Amos Bertolacci is a scholar in Medieval Philosophy and Islamic thought, affiliated with IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca and previously with Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa (SNS), where he served as Associate Professor of Medieval Philosophy (2010–2018). His research focuses on the transmission of Aristotelian philosophy across Latin-Christian, Arabic-Islamic, and Hebrew-Jewish intellectual traditions, emphasizing intercultural dialogue during the Middle Ages. He leads an ERC-funded project on Avicenna’s Kitab al-Shifa’ and has coordinated interdisciplinary initiatives like the DASI digital archive.
