Dr. Amir Riaz is a Lecturer in Business Information Systems at the Research School of Management, The Australian National University. He holds a PhD (ANU), MBS (UCD), and Grad Dip Comp Sci (UCD). His research focuses on neuro-information systems (Neuro-IS), online knowledge dissemination, and behavioral interventions using neuroscience techniques like EEG and fMRI. Key projects include developing digital nudges for public-sector websites and analyzing decision-making processes through neuroimaging. He has published in top journals such as Journal of Management Information Systems and Decision Support Systems.
His research interests span human-computer interaction, biophilic website design, and the interplay between emotion and information recall. Recent work includes studies on seller reputation dynamics in online auctions and the impact of visual elements on user engagement. Dr. Riaz leads two active grants: the ANU Futures Scheme (2023-2027) and the Long-Term Insights Briefing Pilot (2023-2025).
