Amir-Faryar Behzad

Amir-Faryar Behzad is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Maryland, College Park. His research focuses on geotechnical engineering, soil mechanics, and earthquake engineering, with particular emphasis on soil dynamics, material characterization, and infrastructure resilience. He holds a Ph.D. (2012), M.S. (2006), and B.S. (2000) from the University of Maryland and University of Tehran.

Behzad's work explores topics such as soil stabilization through fiber reinforcement, cement-treated soils, and the application of advanced testing methods like CPTu for geotechnical analysis.
