Amina Abdu

Amina Abdu is a Ph.D. candidate and Researcher at the University of Michigan School of Information (UMSI), with affiliations at the Center for Ethics, Society, and Computing (ESC). She is advised by Abigail Jacobs.

Key research areas include computing practices in public policy, algorithmic fairness, science and technology studies (STS), AI governance, digital curation, and government ethics. Her work critically examines how technical decisions embed values, power, and legal frameworks, particularly in algorithmic fairness and differential privacy.
