Amelie Björck is an Associate Professor and part-time Lecturer at Södertörn University's Department of Culture and Learning. She specializes in Drama and Theatre, Animal Studies, and Posthumanist Perspectives, with a focus on the cultural representations of farm animals and temporality in art.
- PhD in Literary Studies (2010), with a dissertation on Swedish radio family series and social change
- Coordinator of the theme Exploring the Animal Turn at the Pufendorf Institute (2014)
- Active in the Ratatosk Research Group at Södertörn University
Her research explores animal agency, anthropocentric temporality, and posthumanist ethics through literature, performance art, and cultural analysis. Recent projects include the forthcoming book Zooësis (2019), which investigates how farm animals are represented in late modern art culture.
