Dr. Antje Schubbert is a Scientist at the Institute of Animal Welfare and Animal Husbandry (ITT), part of the EU Reference Centre for Animal Welfare in Pig Farming (EURCAW-Pigs). Her work focuses on improving animal welfare in both conventional and organic pig farming systems.
- Key research areas include developing animal-friendly husbandry systems, evaluating housing systems for animal welfare, and refining indicators to assess livestock well-being.
- Current projects: LiHASF (combating African swine fever), ÖKoTier (transparency in organic farming), EiKoTiGer (digital animal welfare indicators), and PigComfort (comfort mats for sows).
