Amelia Moreno is a Lecturer in the Department of Languages, Literatures & Cultures. She holds an M.A. from Villanova University, a B.A. from Cedar Crest College, and a B.S. from Universidad Del Valle de Atemajac.
Her teaching philosophy centers on immersive Spanish language acquisition using technology and cultural contextualization. Key approaches include:
- Developing real-world communication skills through interactive exercises
- Reducing ethno-centric perspectives via Hispanic cultural studies
- Integrating literature, art, and music into curriculum design
- Applying communicative methodologies with technological tools
Research interests focus on foreign language pedagogy innovations, particularly technology integration (interactive software, podcasting, cultural activities), and Latin American literary/artistic studies. She maintains active membership in ACTFL and AATSP to advance these interests.
