Amelia-Elena Bocirnea

Dr. Amelia-Elena Bocirnea is a Scientific Researcher at the Laboratory of Surface and Interface Science within the National Institute of Materials Physics. She has been working at this institute since September 2013, initially in what was previously named the 'Nanoscale Condensed Matter laboratory.'

Her research focuses on advanced materials science with particular expertise in Van der Waals materials, metallic oxides, atomically clean surfaces prepared in ultrahigh vacuum (UHV) conditions, and the analysis of ultrathin films, films and powders.
