Prof. Dr. Milan Radovic is an Adjunct Professor at Technical University of Denmark and a Staff Scientist at the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI), Switzerland. His primary affiliation is with PSI's Center for Photon Science, specifically the Spectroscopy of Interfaces and Surfaces (SIS) Beamline at the Swiss Light Source. He holds a Diploma and Magisterium in Applied Physics from the University of Belgrade, Serbia, and a PhD from Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Italy.
- Roles: Project leader for the QUEST beamline (SLS 2.0), overseeing ultrahigh-resolution spectroscopy facilities for quantum matter studies.
- Education: PhD in Physics (2005), Postdoctoral research at SPIN-CNR Naples, and collaborative roles at EPFL Lausanne (2009).
Research focuses on electronic properties at complex heterostructures, surfaces, and interfaces, particularly Metal-Insulator Transitions (MIT), superconductivity, and topological materials. His work combines Angle-Resolved Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES), Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE), and Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) to tailor low-dimensional electron systems.
Selected publications highlight studies on colossal thermopower materials, MIT in CaVO₃, and phonon upconversion in SrTiO₃. He leads projects developing experimental platforms for functional heterostructures and quantum matter characterization, supported by interdisciplinary collaborations.
Institutional responsibilities include managing the QUEST beamline, supervising technical staff, PhD students, and postdocs, and advancing facility integration for cutting-edge material science research.
