Ambrose Sungseok Seo is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Kentucky where he directs the Superlattices & Epitaxial Oxides Laboratory. His research focuses on condensed matter physics with experimental approaches to material properties and structures.

Professor Seo's laboratory investigates fundamental properties of condensed matter systems including superlattices and oxide materials using advanced experimental techniques. His work connects to materials science applications and fundamental physical principles.
He maintains international collaborations with Ewha Womans University in South Korea and previously conducted postdoctoral research at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and the Max-Planck-Institut für Festkörperforschung in Germany.
