Amber Burbidge

Amber Burbidge is a Researcher at the European University Institute in the Department of History, part of the 2022 cohort. Her work focuses on the intersection of race, gender, and visual/material culture in early modern Western Europe.

Amber's doctoral research examines the Black female presence in Western European visual and material culture from 1600 to 1750 under the supervision of Giorgio Riello and Mónica Bolufer Peruga.
