معرفی
Amber Boyatzis is a Lecturer in the School of Biomedical Sciences, Department of Medical Science and Genetics at The University of Western Australia. Her work focuses on redox biology, proteomics, and muscular dystrophy research. She has contributed to advancements in protein thiol oxidation detection and educational strategies in medical science. Her research spans topics like oxidative stress biomarkers, skeletal muscle pathology, and maleimide-based proteomic techniques.
Boyatzis holds a doctoral degree, evidenced by her 2020 unpublished thesis on in vivo protein thiol oxidation in skeletal muscle. Her teaching excellence is recognized through multiple awards including the Excellence in Teaching - Team Award (2022, 2020) and the UWA Team Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning (2020).
Her research interests include the interplay between oxidative stress and muscle diseases, with notable contributions to understanding cysteine oxidation in plasma albumin and the role of taurine in Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Collaborative projects include the development of isotope-coded affinity tags for proteomics applications and novel lecture strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
