Amber Arifeen is a Pakistani-American Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute within the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences and Humanities and Media Studies Department. She is a multidisciplinary artist and educator whose practice spans painting, performance, sound, animation, film, and sculpture, focusing on themes of embodiment, power dynamics, and the lived experiences of contemporary Muslim South Asian women.

Her work critically engages with feminist theory, phenomenology, and post-colonial frameworks, informed by her professional experience with organizations like Marie Stopes International and the United Nations Development Program. Recent exhibitions include solo shows in Karachi, Lahore, and London, and upcoming shows in Los Angeles. She participated in the Domus Eco-Feminist Residency in Italy (2021).
