Amardeep Dhanju is a Lecturer at Johns Hopkins University and a Senior Project Manager at AECOM, specializing in renewable energy and marine policy. He has held key roles at the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), where he contributed to national ocean policy and offshore wind regulation.

Dhanju’s research focuses on the intersection of energy policy, environmental management, and geospatial analysis. He has pioneered efforts in marine spatial planning and offshore wind development, leading to certified regional ocean plans in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic U.S.
His professional accolades include two major awards for federal collaboration and contributions to global ocean assessments. Since 2014, he has served as an associate editor for the Energy for Sustainable Development journal, bridging academic and industry expertise.
