Amanda Worek

Amanda Worek is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the MGH Institute of Health Professions. She also serves as Coordinator of Clinical Operations for the Julie Atwood Speech, Language and Literacy Center. Her expertise spans integrating technology into clinical practice, clinical education, and interprofessional education and practice. She holds a BS in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh, and MS and SLPD degrees from MGH IHP. She is ASHA-certified and licensed in MA, PA, and DE.

Dr. Worek’s research focuses on telepractice, clinical education innovation, and psycholinguistics. Her work includes studies on telepractice training outcomes, pediatric speech-language pathology, and anti-oppressive approaches in clinical materials. She has presented at conferences like ASHA and AOTA INSPIRE, emphasizing practical applications of research in clinical settings.

Her professional certifications include an Educational Specialist I: Speech-Language Pathology teaching certificate in Pennsylvania. She actively engages in service-learning initiatives, such as the LEGO® club pilot program to enhance student clinician outcomes.
