Professor Amanda Wilson is Professor of Nursing at UTS's School of Nursing and Midwifery, with decades of experience in clinical practice, public health research, and health education. She leads interdisciplinary research spanning nursing, medicine, and public health, focusing on AI in health education and evidence-based healthcare delivery.
Her research prioritizes health literacy, behavioral interventions, and innovative teaching methods, examining topics from smoking cessation to chronic disease management. Publications demonstrate strong focus on cardiovascular outcomes (41%), health education technology (29%), and global health disparities (21%).
Honored with the Australian Museum Eureka Prize for doctoral work, she has supervised international PhD candidates from Thailand, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, and Ethiopia. Funded projects include psychosocial studies of prostate cancer nurses and healthcare training reviews for NSW Health District.
