Professor Amanda Wilson is a leading academic at the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Newcastle, where she serves as Head of School since 2025. Her career spans clinical research, public health, and health education, with significant contributions to health literacy, critical appraisal of medical news, and web-based health research. She co-founded the Media Doctor website for evaluating health reporting and received the Australian Museum Eureka Prize for Critical Thinking (2005).
