Amanda Maddern is an Associate Lecturer in Physiotherapy at the University of Adelaide, affiliated with the School of Allied Health Science and Practice under the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She is currently pursuing a PhD focused on integrating simulation into health professional education. Her career includes roles as a Senior Physiotherapist and Clinical Educator in Adelaide's rehabilitation hospitals, with experience across cardio-respiratory, musculoskeletal, neurological, orthopedic, oncology, and gerontology physiotherapy. As the owner of Adelaide Mobile Physiotherapy, she has contributed to community healthcare while developing a passion for cardio-respiratory physiotherapy research.
Her research emphasizes advancing educational methodologies in healthcare through simulation-based learning. She holds a commitment to improving patient outcomes and advancing rehabilitation practices through academic and clinical collaboration.
