Amanda L. Terry is an Associate Professor at Western University's Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry with appointments in the Department of Family Medicine, Department of Epidemiology & Biostatistics, and Schulich Interfaculty Program in Public Health. She serves as Director of the Centre for Studies in Family Medicine and Director of Research in the Department of Family Medicine.
Her educational background includes a PhD in Epidemiology and an MA in Medical Geography. Prior to joining Western University, she spent ten years working in Ontario's District Health Council system conducting health system planning and community stakeholder engagement.
Dr. Terry's research program focuses on electronic medical records (EMR) data quality, Artificial Intelligence applications in primary care, and remote health solutions. She co-leads the DELPHI project (with Dr. Bridget Ryan) and the national TUTOR-PHC training program (with Dr. Judith Belle Brown), and developed an online platform for patient-oriented research capacity building in primary health care settings.
She teaches qualitative research methods in the Graduate Program in Family Medicine and leadership courses in the Schulich Interfaculty Program in Public Health, with research domain specialization in Space & Remote Health Advances.
