معرفی
Amanda Hummon is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at The Ohio State University, part of the College of Arts and Sciences. She leads the Hummon Research Group, focusing on analytical chemistry and chemical biology applied to cancer biology. Previously, she held positions at the University of Notre Dame and conducted postdoctoral research at the National Cancer Institute and University of Illinois.
Education: A.B. in Chemistry (Cornell University, 1999), Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry (University of Illinois, 2004). Her research develops mass spectrometry-based methods to study cancer-associated pathways, including organoid analysis, proteomics, and drug delivery systems. Awards include the NSF CAREER Award, PECASE, and a Fulbright Scholar Award.
Research emphasizes spatial analysis of biomolecules using mass spectrometry imaging and quantifying drug distribution in tumor models. Her lab integrates proteomics, lipidomics, and systems biology to understand cancer progression and treatment efficacy. The group is affiliated with the Comprehensive Cancer Center and Foods for Health Discovery Theme at OSU.
