Amanda Cameron is a postdoctoral researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences, specializing in combinatorics and matroid theory. She earned her PhD in 2017 from Queen Mary University of London under the supervision of Alex Fink, with a thesis titled "A generalisation of the Tutte polynomial for polymatroids."
Her research focuses on algebraic perspectives in matroid theory, an area frequently intersecting with nonlinear algebra at MPI MiS. She has been affiliated with the Nonlinear Algebra research group from 2017–2022, contributing to structural studies of combinatorial objects.
