Amanda Bear is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Services at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS). She holds a Master of Arts (MA) and is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and licensed addiction counselor (LAC) in Colorado. Her academic and professional work focuses on trauma recovery, resiliency, and social justice within counseling practices. Bear is an alumna of UCCS's counseling program, where she developed her expertise in supporting individuals' healing and well-being.
Her professional background includes roles in residential treatment centers and private practice, emphasizing a holistic and inclusive approach to counseling.
