Dr. Jason Rose is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Counseling and Human Services at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS), part of the College of Education. He holds a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from the University of Northern Colorado, with minors in Applied Research and Gerontological Counseling. His work emphasizes death anxiety, substance use, professional competence, and social cooperative emotional states, integrating existential theory into education and clinical practice.

Research focuses on counselor training efficacy, addiction counseling, and academic support systems for STEM and first-generation students. Licensed as an LPC, LAC, and NCC in Colorado, he is also an Addiction Counselor Trainer certified by the Behavioral Health Association of Colorado.
