Amalia Miller is the Georgia S. Bankard Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Virginia, with affiliations to the Women, Gender & Sexuality (WGS) program. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Stanford University and a B.S. in Economics from MIT, where she minored in Women's Studies. Her office is located in Monroe Hall, Room 239, and she holds regular office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Professor Miller's research spans multiple interdisciplinary domains, primarily focusing on:
- Public Finance: Analyzing government expenditure and taxation policies.
- Labor Economics: Investigating gender disparities and workforce dynamics.
- Health Economics: Studying healthcare systems and digital health technologies.
