Grant Miller is the Henry J. Kaiser, Jr. Professor of Health Policy at Stanford School of Medicine, Senior Fellow at Freeman Spogli Institute (FSI) and Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR). He holds courtesy appointments in Economics and directs the Stanford Human Trafficking Data Lab. His work focuses on health economics, development economics, and economic demography, with emphasis on improving health strategies in developing countries.

Research Interests: Miller’s research addresses three core themes: (1) drivers of population health improvement, (2) behavioral underpinnings of health determinants, and (3) policy-design for effective health interventions. Recent work explores clean brick kiln technologies in Bangladesh, China’s One Child Policy impacts, and labor trafficking in global supply chains.
