Alyson Moyes is a Senior Lecturer and Senior Tutor at Bangor University's School of Medical Sciences. She holds a PhD from the University of Chester (2019) focusing on the pathophysiology of renal calculi treatment via flexible ureteroscopy (FURS). Her roles include Programme Lead for Medical Sciences and teaching Clinical Biochemistry and Physiology. She is an Honorary Research Scientist at the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Research Interests: Her work centers on post-operative complications of kidney stone treatments, particularly FURS and shock wave lithotripsy (SWL). She investigates biomarkers (leukocytes, inflammatory markers) to predict surgical outcomes and optimize patient care. Her research also extends to bladder cancer diagnostics via Trans-Urethral Resection of Bladder Tumour (TURBT).

Grants & Labs: Lead researcher at the North Wales & North West Urological Research Centre (NW2URC), focusing on urological biomarkers. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to advance clinical outcomes for kidney, bladder, and prostate disorders.
