Alysia Sawchyn is a Professor of Writing at Warren Wilson College, where she teaches courses in creative nonfiction, literary editing, and rhetoric. She also serves as Editor in Chief of The Rumpus, a prominent literary platform. Her research interests focus on the tension between subjectivity and fact in nonfiction writing, as well as the works of queer and Asian American authors. Sawchyn holds a B.A. in Writing from the University of Tampa, an M.A. in Rhetoric and Composition from Ball State University, and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University of South Florida.
